Helpful information
Please read carefully the following information. It will help you to extend the life of your costume.
Your costume is intended to be worn during competitions and performances.
Occasionally, you may wish to wear it during training sessions or for dress rehearsals to get used to it and so as not to be distracted by it during an actual performance.
To avoid damage to your costume please explain to children that they should not touch the crystals or the painted designs or play with the skirt hem etc. Explain that our costumes are fragile and should always be treated as such.
Children should not roll around on the floor in the costume without reason, even if they think the floor or carpet is clean. This will help avoid the paint rubbing off, the loss of crystals; and unnecessary washing.
We recommend that you wear skin colour underwear beneath our costumes.
We recommend that you do not wash the complete costume after each performance. It is preferable to only wash soiled areas and then to air the costume thoroughly.
Please store your costume in a dry place on a hanger in a correctly sized costume bag.
The costume should be put on very carefully without over stretching it.
A useful tip for putting on the sleeves: as they are very narrow we recommend that you first put a plastic bag over each arm; then insert your arm inside the sleeve; and finally slide the bag out from the other end.
